Package Quantity:

The 6-5/8" Black Tension Band is an essential part in assembling chain link fence panels. Used in conjunction with tension tension bars (sold separately), this curved piece of material stretches chain link fabric to provide the tautness needed for a sturdy barrier. To attach to a terminal post (gate posts, end posts, corner posts), slide over and down the post. Space apart the bands evenly and secure in place with 5/16" x 1-1/4" carriage bolts (sold separately). Once all the tension bands on an individual terminal post are secured in place, slide a tension bar (sold separately) vertically and downward through each band as well as the end "knuckles" of the chain link fabric.

This tension band features black vinyl coating for extra aesthetic appeal.

Details

How the part fits? A 6-5/8” tension band is designed to fit around a 6-5/8” terminal post.

Where is it installed? A 6-5/8” tension band is installed by sliding over the 6-5/8” terminal post once the post is set. Tension bands will be evenly placed on each terminal post.

How many do you need? You will need multiple tension bands for every stretch of fence. You will need one less tension band than the height of the fence, with a minimum of 3 tension bands. For example, if you have a 4’ fence you will need (3) 6-5/8” Tension Bands per terminal post. For a full stretch of fence from terminal post to terminal post, you will need double the amount. Ex: For a 4’ stretch of fence you will need (6) total 6-5/8” tension bands.
